Greek & Egyptian mythology were my favourite subjects in the history class. Before humankind has science to explain us pretty much everything, we sure knew how to tell a good story. Water nymphs were the personified female spirits of the sea. They were often portrayed as ethereal and alluring beings, who were know for their seductive nature. They were believed to have the power to grant blessings or courses to those who encountered them. In this painting l tried to capture the essence of a water nymph.
